What started as a simple DIY project quickly blossomed into something we never imagined. K&Y Roses and Gifts began as a side hustle between two sisters, selling flowers as street vendors on the corner of 4th Ave & 86th St. We worked from home, stood outside on weekends, and followed our passion with no clear idea of where it would lead.
Our neighborhood welcomed us with open arms—offering encouragement, support, and constant reminders that flowers were truly needed nearby. Through rain and shine, we kept going. After a full year of hard work and saving, we were finally able to open our very first flower shop just a few blocks away from where it all began.
We are a family-run, Latina-owned, and women-owned business, built on love, resilience, and community. Every bouquet we create carries our pride, passion, and gratitude for the people who believed in us from the start. What once felt like “just a side hustle” became our true passion.
From making silly TikToks to greeting each of you as you walk through our doors, nothing brings us more joy than seeing you smile and enjoy our creations.
We officially began this journey on March 8 2024 — International Women’s Day, a date that holds deep meaning for us and one we continue to celebrate with pride and enthusiasm. K&Y stands for Karen & Yelena—two sisters who started with nothing but a dream, and now have a little something, thanks to our community.
Thank you for supporting small, supporting women, and supporting local. 🌹
We’re so grateful you’re part of our story 🫶🏻
